The “good” poster is designed to resemble a clean website layout. It uses Futura exclu- sively, referencing how the typeface helped modernise typography by popularising sleek sans serif forms. This choice supports Asi- mov’s quote “I do not fear computers, I fear the lack of them”, as both the typeface and the author were advocates for progress and modernisation through technology.
In contrast, the “bad” poster is intentionally chaotic, employing a childish font that un- dermines the theme. However, I included subtle elements, such as the author’s name set in Futura, to echo the “good” design and create a degree of visual cohesion between the two. Together, the pair demonstrates how design choices can either reinforce or distort the intended meaning of a text.
