Playing the Library
This publication was developed in response to the Playing the Library brief, which explored systems within printed media through recurring shapes, typography, and grid structures. Assigned the colours teal and aqua blue for a risograph workshop, I integrated them into spreads inspired by the human form, focusing on how gender and identity are represented in fashion and art across eras.
Drawing on visual contrasts between Victorian and contemporary fashion, I examined how perceptions of men and women have evolved through design. This project allowed me to experiment with editorial layout, risograph printing, and colour symbolism while deepening my understanding of historical and cultural context. It ultimately strengthened both my technical skills in InDesign and my ability to build a coherent visual narrative.
